Timer movement
A timer that jumps, disappears, or restarts should be treated as a changed screen state.

A timer, lock, or paused panel can change how the rest of the screen should be read. Do not treat a reel panel as current until the round state is clear.

Timers change the meaning of a screen
A timer that jumps, disappears, or restarts should be treated as a changed screen state.
A lock can mean a selection area is closed, waiting, or no longer available. Read it before looking at symbols.
Dimmed or frozen reel panels may show an old state. Compare them with any fresh message on the screen.
If the screen refreshes slowly, wait for the state to settle before reading the result area.
When the timer or lock changes, your reading should restart from the top of the screen.
